My name is Taweerat Khakham, but you can call me "John," also known by my pen name "COTT". Based in Bangkok, Thailand, I am a professional freelance artist specializing in 2D illustrations for both digital and print media. My expertise includes children's book illustrations, full-color comics, and webtoons (manga, manhwa), as well as providing support as an assistant artist for various creative projects.

The project began in late 2024, inspired by my favorite game, Minecraft. This sparked my creative journey to produce artwork for the community that shares the same love for the game. In 2025, I plan to expand by creating a Unofficial Comic, Fandom merchandise, Game cards, and many other exciting projects under COTT

Illustration and content

My artwork began with focused practice in gesture drawing, figure studies, and lines of action. I referenced dynamic throwing poses from the KODOKAN × IJF ACADEMY video series, which served as the foundation for developing my work. As I progressed, this training led to the creation of educational pieces that illustrate judo throwing techniques.

This is a collection of uncategorized artworks created over the years, featuring casual sketches during my free time and pieces made for special occasions. It begins in 2017, the year I embarked on my artistic journey, and continues through 2024, reflecting my dedication and serious efforts to refine my skills and produce increasingly meaningful work.

EXPERIENCE

I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Product Design from a university in Thailand. After graduation, I began my career as a sales professional, spending about three years honing my skills in sales, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building. It was a pivotal experience that shaped my professional foundation.In 2022, I transitioned to a role as a Comic Assistant, working in the fields of comics, webtoons, manga, and manhwa. Starting at a small company, I gradually progressed to working with renowned studios in Thailand, serving clients across various Asian countries.My journey in this field has been one of persistence and growth. After years of gaining experience and building connections, I made the decision to pursue a freelance career, giving myself the freedom to dedicate more time to personal projects. My ultimate dream has always been to become a renowned independent artist.
